Shipping gourmet chocolate can be complicated. Weather & transit time and whether the destination is a business or residential are vitally important factors as is the actual product being shipped. All of these variables drive the cost to ship, which can be substantial when compared to the cost of the product itself.
Simply put, Fascia’s will get your package where it needs to go in perfect condition at the lowest cost possible. We do not try to make money on shipping but need to cover our costs. For each order, we check the weather between our location and the destination and determine the best way to ship to a home or office.
For warm weather, Fascia’s uses a special blow up cooler package with ice packs at a cost of $5 per package. The size of the cooler can also add to the package shipping cost. We have done studies on this packaging in very hot weather and are confident it will work for 2 full days.
In general, we use US Postal Service Priority Mail for residential addresses and UPS Ground for business addresses within 2 days transit time. UPS for Residential requires a surcharge.
